Dad (Merle) and Louise made it to Eilena's yesterday. They visited and then headed to Darryl's for dinner and a bed. Mike is in town and blessed me with a visit yesterday. Gail, traveling with Glenn and Maria, called me from just outside of Reno yesterday morning while I was frantically racing around Costco! They should be here by now. I'm not sure where David is yet, but I know he was on the road and Cheryl also! I'm picking Pat up at the airport around 2:45 this afternoon.
Breakfast-in-a-bag at Eilena's this morning at 10:00! Then Burgers and Chorizos there around 4:00!
Can't wait to see you all!
LET THE FESTIVITIES COMMENCE!

So there we were on Thursday afternoon at the Boise Airport.
Checked out the car, drove to the hotel to touch base with Sis. She was supposed to be there before us but was delayed overnight in Minnesota and was arriving a half-hour after we got there. Decided to get a bite to eat and ran over to Notus and “The Garage” for a burger.
Left there and made a wrong turn on 20-26 and ended up in some place called Eagle.
Made it back to Caldwell road and the Walgreen’s (we were 5 blocks from Kathleen’s if we’d have known we could have stopped by…)
By the time we wondered back to the hotel it was late and turned in.
Next day was great reconnecting with the Family.
I have to say Grandpa and Grandma Murphy shine through every one of you.
Went and drove by both grandparents houses. The Murphy place doesn’t look anything like I remember. Of course kids have such a different perspective and the changes that happen over time. Still it was all good.
Ran over to KSRV radio in Ontario where I hung out back in the summer of ’66. When we moved from La Grande we found a place across the street from the college. At that time it was a golf course. Soon after the TVCC bought it and we had to move. We moved 3 blocks from KSRV Radio. My buddies and I ran for food and checked the weather station for the DJ’s.
When we visited on Friday the manager gave us a warm welcome and even gave us a T-SHIRT!
She wants me to send her a story about the time we spent hanging out.
Already started looking at granite counter tops for the outdoor kitchen inspired by Kathleen and Chet’s fine example.
Beautiful place there Kathleen!
One of the most memorable times I can remember.
